What We Charge

Straight answers on pricing, before you pick up the phone. No hidden call-out fee, no same-day-only discount games, and the number we quote is the number you pay.

How we price

Quoted before we start, not after we finish

Most complaints about HVAC companies are not really about price. They are about finding out the price too late. So here is how ours works, in plain terms.

On a residential repair, there is a $75 diagnostic fee. That buys a licensed technician’s time to find out what is actually wrong — gauges on the system, electrical tested, airflow measured — and a written quote for the fix.

Go ahead with the repair and the $75 is waived. It comes straight off the bill, so the diagnosis costs you nothing. Decide not to go ahead and the $75 is all you owe — you still walk away knowing exactly what is wrong with your system and what it would take to fix it, which is worth having even if you get a second opinion.

On a replacement, the quote is free and it comes with a load calculation. We size the system to the house, not to whatever happened to be there before. You get two or three options — good, better, best — with the total price and the monthly payment on each, in writing.

What we will not do is give you a firm number over the phone for a repair nobody has looked at yet. Anyone who does is either guessing or planning to change it once they are in your attic.

Residential service pricing

ServicePriceWhat it covers
Diagnostic visit$75We find the fault and quote the fix. Waived entirely if you go ahead with the repair.
After-hours & weekend call-out$100Outside Mon–Sat 8–5, and Sundays. A person answers and a truck is dispatched — not a message taken for the morning.
AC or furnace tune-up$99One system, one visit. A full cooling check, or a heating check including a combustion analysis and heat-exchanger inspection.
Each additional system$60Added to any tune-up above, on the same visit — most two-system houses in Prosper and Celina fall here.

Commercial & refrigeration

ServicePriceWhat it covers
Commercial diagnostic visit$120Rooftop units, walk-in coolers and freezers, ice machines, and commercial split systems.
Commercial after-hours call-out$200Outside Mon–Sat 8–5, and Sundays. When a walk-in is failing with stock in it, we come out.
Rooftop unit (RTU) tune-up$250First unit. Coils, belts, filters, refrigerant charge, economizer and safeties, with a written condition report you can budget against.
Each additional rooftop unit$200Same visit. A six-unit strip center is one trip, not six.

A single rooftop unit is $250. A site with four is $850, not $1,000, because it is one visit and one set-up — the saving is real work we are not repeating, not a discount we invented.

Commercial rates cover the call-out and diagnosis. Repair and maintenance work on commercial equipment is quoted per site — access, refrigerant type and how much stock is at risk all change the job. Commercial refrigeration · Rooftop units.

Complete system replacement

A complete residential system — furnace or air handler, condenser and coil, supplied, fitted and tested — runs $7,000 to $15,000 in the houses we work in around Celina, Prosper and Frisco.

Where you land in that range comes down to the size of the house, the efficiency tier you pick, and whether the existing ductwork, line set and electrical can be reused. We run a load calculation before quoting rather than matching the sticker on the old unit — a system sized off the last one just repeats whatever mistake was made the first time, and an oversized unit short-cycles, never dehumidifies properly, and dies early.

On the 0% plan that is $117 to $250 a month over 60 months, on approved credit, with no interest and no prepayment penalty. How the financing works.

Quotes on replacements are free and include the load calculation. You get two or three options with the total price and the monthly payment on each, in writing, before you decide anything.

What is always included

  • A written, itemized quote before work starts
  • Licensed technicians — TDLR TACLA128438C, and the number is public
  • Cleanup, and the old equipment hauled away
  • 0% financing up to 60 months on replacements, on approved credit

Where the Comfort Club changes the math

Two tune-ups a year bought one at a time come to $198 for a single system, or $318 for two. Comfort Club membership is $150 and $240.

So the membership is $48 and $78 cheaper than paying for the same two visits separately — and it adds priority scheduling when everyone in Celina is calling at once, 10% off repairs, and no overtime charge on after-hours calls. There is no version of the sums where paying per visit comes out ahead, which is why we do not push it hard: if you were going to service the system anyway, the club is simply the cheaper way to do it.

Prices shown are for standard residential work inside our service area. Commercial and refrigeration work is quoted per site. Unusual access, failed ductwork or electrical that is not to code can change a quote — if that happens we show you before we do the work, not on the invoice.

We reply during business hours, usually within the hour. For a true emergency please call 469-919-7646 — the line is answered 24/7.

Answers

Pricing questions

Do you charge for a quote on a new system?

No. Quotes on replacements and installations are free, and they include a load calculation rather than a guess from the old unit’s label. A diagnostic fee applies only to repair calls, where the work is finding out what is actually wrong.

Is the price you quote the price I pay?

Yes. We quote the job before we start, in writing, and that is the number on the invoice. If we open something up and find a second fault, we stop and show you before doing any more work — you decide whether it goes ahead.

Why do HVAC prices vary so much between companies?

Mostly equipment tier, warranty terms, and whether the quote includes the things that are easy to leave out: a proper load calculation, a new line set, a new pad, electrical work and disposal of the old unit. When you compare quotes, compare what is inside them rather than the bottom line.

Do you charge more for emergency or weekend work?

Outside our regular hours of Monday to Saturday, 8am to 5pm, an after-hours rate applies. We tell you that rate on the phone before we dispatch, not once we are standing in your hallway.

Can I spread the cost of a replacement?

Yes. We are a registered dealer for Service Finance Company, and their equal-payment plans run to 60 months at 0% interest on approved credit. We show you the monthly figure beside the cash price when we quote.
