Furnace Tune-Up & Heating Maintenance

The cheapest furnace repair is the one you never need. A fall tune-up catches the weak igniter, the dirty flame sensor and the marginal inducer motor while it is 70° outside and parts are easy to get — not at 11 p.m. on the first freeze.

What a real tune-up includes

Not a filter change and a sticker. We clean the burners and flame sensor, test the igniter and all safeties, measure gas pressure, run a combustion analysis, check the heat exchanger, inspect the flue, clear the condensate trap, test the blower amp draw and capacitor, measure temperature rise and static pressure, and check the thermostat calibration and wiring.

It protects your warranty too

Nearly every manufacturer’s parts warranty requires documented annual maintenance. We keep the records so that if you do need a warranty claim, the paperwork is already in order.

Bundle it and forget it

Comfort Club members get both the fall heating tune-up and the spring cooling tune-up scheduled automatically, plus priority dispatch and a standing discount on repairs.

Cheaper than paying per visit

Or let us just remember it for you

The problem with maintenance is not the cost. It is that nobody thinks about their air conditioner in March, and then it is 105°F and everyone is thinking about it at once.

Two tune-ups a year bought one at a time come to $198 for a single system, or $318 for two. Comfort Club membership is $150 and $240$48 and $78 cheaper for the same two visits, before you count the priority scheduling, the 10% off repairs, and no overtime charge on after-hours calls.

Members get booked automatically in spring and autumn, so the tune-up happens whether or not it crossed your mind.

Answers

Furnace Tune-Up — questions we get asked

How much does a furnace tune-up cost?

We quote a flat rate before we book, and Comfort Club members pay a reduced rate. Call 469-919-7646 and we will give you the number on the phone — no meter running, no surprise at the end.

Do you run furnace tune-up specials?

Yes, seasonal pricing in the autumn before heating season starts. If you have gas heat and air conditioning both, the Comfort Club usually beats two separate tune-ups — it bundles the autumn heating visit and the spring cooling visit with priority dispatch and a repair discount.

How often should a furnace be serviced?

Once a year, in the fall, before you need it. If you have a heat pump that both heats and cools, service it twice a year — spring and fall — because it runs year-round.

Is a tune-up worth it if the furnace is working fine?

That is exactly when it is worth it. A tune-up is diagnostic: it finds the parts that are drifting out of spec while they are still cheap to replace and while you are not without heat.
